When you discover a bomb ass driving road but you're driving arguably the worst American car of the last decade with arguably the worst CVT ever made. I can't wait to come back this weekend in the Dart.

Many years ago, I was on my own on a road trip and decided to take the "scenic route" to my sister-in-law's family's ranch in Colorado. I passed Cañon City heading west on 50, and the roads were fantastic all the way through Salida and Leadville up to I-70.
But I was in my wife's '01 Xterra...

A few months back I discovered another great road but I was in a customer's Pacifica. I went back that night in my Focus and when I test drove my Dart I took it there. I love that feeling of finding a great stretch of road, it just sucks when the car you're driving prevents you from fully enjoying it.

Even though Kinja cropped the car out of the lead photo, I still knew what you were driving, based on the description alone, before I opened the full pic.

Lol given the CVT it was either the Ford Freestyle/500 (IIRC) or the Caliber and it's Jeep demon spawn.

For sure. The road I mentioned is 600+ miles from here, so no "going back that night" for me...
